Welcome to Genetic Assessment. Genetic assessment is a subfield of personalized medicine. Personalized medicine is the science of using genetic information to better target the delivery of health care to the specific individual. Genetic assessment primarily helps determine a person’s predisposition to a particular disease or health condition.
It is hoped that personalized medicine will allow health care providers to focus their attention on factors specific to an individual patient to provide individualized care.

The field of personalized medicine raises many ethical issues, business opportunities, humanitarian opportunities, and some challenges. For us, we hope genetic assessment and personalized medicine will enable new approaches to diagnosis, drug development, and individualized therapy.
